Pak-Man – Outside

Having established his hustler’s ambition and stance through the success of his last project Legendary Still, Pak-Man makes some changes and is back outside.

“Real life rodeo, investment portfolio”, Classic ‘Patek’ Pak with his bars mirroring his lifestyle, elevated and staunch, despite being obviously overlooked, there’s few that can really deliver this style so fluent and honestly. It’s braggadocios but with reason, as he continues to independently forge his lane within UK rap and beyond.

Leading to the latest single, Outside.

“South London in my veins”. Resuming from where he left off, it’s more motivational music for the masses as he continues to boss up and raise the quality while he’s at it. Though similar in content, (with production and high level mixes on both courtesy of Cee Figz) Outside is a slightly higher tempo to Changes, and much like Pusha T, the Audemar aficionado is able to create these recurrent vibes so many times and yet they always offer something different. One of the reasons why I was waiting for a full length project before reviewing is because in his mixtapes and albums you get a more diverse platter of his craft, introspective, at times vulnerable and ultimately human, blended with these gritty and glamorous displays, shows more to his penmanship, delivery and overall artistry. He’s one of the few pioneers who has continued to maintain his legacy through music (independently might I remind you), which not only heralds him as an established act but adds value and emphasis to his upward trajectory.

There’s no doubt of more to come from the South London legend, so stay tuned for the follow up single and more so the next full project from the Rolex reverer himself, Big Pakachino.

Pak-Man – King

The word ‘consistent’ is often thrown around loosely, but few genuinely define it like the Lambeth legend himself, Pak-Man.

Fresh off his independent nationwide tour, only four months ago he released Back Then featuring JJ Esko

The uptempo number serves his core audience, with classic Pakachino rhyme-schemes, grind mode paper chasing music that he’s become synonymous with, but just a month later he releases my personal favourite Corner Store featuring Deep Green

Pak has been at the forefront of introducing talent from across the country and this is just another testament to that, the more introspective, Corner Store has Pak-Man flowing effortlessly over a sample-driven mid-tempo beat, an inspirational offering from the South London artist with its uplifting hook and confident verses, linking up with the contrasting vocals of Sheffield’s own Deep Green.

“Women feel my fragrance and my aura, my papers gettin’ taller, my pagans gettin’ poorer”

Leading up to the latest release, the rightfully titled, King

Back in his element, Pak continues to craft his sound, with his brand of high-end street rap,

“Remember everyone who doubted you, out the mud..where the flowers grew”

silencing critics with another display of bravado and motivational wordplay that further justifies his loyal following over the years, amassing over a hundred thousand views in only a few days, and with a new project on the way, Pak-Man continues to deliver in legendary fashion.

Pak-Man – How Many

If you’re talking consistency, then Pak-Man has to be amongst the conversation. Few can match the work-rate, let alone the ability, and after a solid 2017, with the release of his Still Legendary project, as well as visuals (including Active, and his Behind Barz), Big Pakachino is back again, with How Many..

Linking up with another underrated talent in 5ive Beatz, the producer whips up this upbeat lil’ number, with it’s sample serving as an instrument, holding the faint piano melody to that effective beat pattern, and with the ambience set, it allows Rose Gold Pak to do what he does.

“Rappers gassin’ ’bout they’re trappers in their 16’s, but their lies work..they just sold the kids dreams, never had no white birds like Mis-teeq..”

The braggadocios rhymes and assertive flow go well together, as he stands tall on the undeniable efforts, “I put in years..How Many, blood, sweat & tears..How Many”. Never short of quoteables and catchy lines, as many will chant along to, “getting money at a fast pace, I need a crib like Scarface”. His signature style of confidence and wit with lines like, “I got old money in my old safe, your bitch don’t look good..she look okay”, are more reason why he’s considered overlooked by so many, as few can command the presence on a track that Pak-Man does.

Always working, and no doubt planning a follow up to his successful tour last year, you can be sure that there’s more music and visuals on the way, who knows how many..

Pak-Man – Behind Barz (Take 4)

If you’re talking consistency, or one of the hardest out, you best mention Pak-Man.

There’s few going harder, as the South London rapper continues to elevate with the street rap. The lyrical wordsmith is one of the best with the entrepreneurial raps. With a variety of quotables, this doesn’t dip one bit, if anything, it just gets better as it continues. “Risking my life for this, rich..How i’m tryna live, it was embarrassing..when I never had a thing, now I ring dan..I need 8 grand to grab a ring, 20 on my wrist in the gym while I have a swim, still drippin’, roof still missin’ like Madeline..”. There ain’t many that can talk the talk, let alone as catchy with such a delivery, and maybe it’s a lack of features with notable names, but it’s only a matter of time when the rest will get it. Few are championing him and you won’t always hear the main ones speaking of promoting, but rest assured, with over 130,000 views within a month, Pak ain’t one to be held back and as much as many acts would love a core fanbase like his, he’s only developing it further, and you can see the growth over time, as he shows no signs of slowing down or conforming in his craft. Though the subjects may seem similar, the angles in which he approaches continue to offer versatility with bars like, “I’m sorry for the stress that I caused mum, I was out here tryna stack me some more funds, sorry that I couldn’t be the son that you wanted, you found drugs in my closet..then you flushed all the profit..”.

“On the block with the junkies, got lost in the game like Jumanji, now my kicks cost me a monkey..”

If you haven’t, make sure you check out his latest release, Still Legendary, as for sure there is more fire to come from one of the hardest working acts out there.
