This track was brought to me and there is potential, music is about feeling, emotion, soul, this track has that.
A personal song, written about a previous relationship, definitely speaking for the ladies, it has a funky, R&B element to it, vocally it is soft and soulful, personally I beleive it requires a bit of work, but I can say that for most songs that we hear on the radio today, that is just me being critical, but this track has the potential to be something big, so have a listen and feel free to leave your comments and opinions.

16 Spacey tracks from the Space boy himself, Wizzy Wow demonstrates his production skills, his lyrical and vocal ability with this release. With features from Calibar, J. Flows & Scorcher to name a few, this experimental offering has a few surprises, really diverse and with its own perspective of sound and melody, Wizzy Wow breaks a few barriers with this easy listening musical gift.
This track is so different to the usual generic heartbreak tracks, up-lifting and emphatic without being over the top, produced by Stickmatick, Wizzy Wow recruits the young phenom Street Sounds aka Double S and newcomer Patrick Thief for this one. The strongest point of this track is the chorus as well as the expected Double S delivery, you can feel the emotion, you can understand the frustration. Overall, as with most of the tracks on this mixtape, there is potential for them to be big releases, such as It’s Over ft. Scorcher, Breaking Down reminds me of an old Neptunes production, so unique yet fitting nicely, the style is not the same, but a hit is a hit! Breaking Down and Dr Wizzy Love is a sign for the range of diverse music to come out of the UK.

The STAR IN THE HOOD looks set to be in line for his third number 1 with this latest effort.
The club anthem sample, the catchy and distinct flow, this epic number, dispite having two number ones already, looks set to be Stryder’s coronation as a mainstream success.
DC’s soul singer J. Holiday became a strong fixture in R&B with the success of his singles ‘Bed’ and ‘Suffocate’, his album was a good collection and in time received quite the prase, however, he did not receive the same reception with his second album, ROUND 2.
As a complete album, Round 2 is actually better than his debut ‘Back of My Lac’. Initially my favourite tracks were, Make That Sound, Run Into My Arms, Fall and Wrong Lover ft. Rick Ross, but recently this song (The Way It Was) has grown on me.
I like the evident emotion, Round 2 was a compilation of classic R&B sounding tracks, bringing an old school flavour to the mix, something that was missing in R&B albums of late. With a lot of Pop/R&B crossover tracks, this obviously was not accepted as well, none the less it still is a great song, J. Holiday really lays feeling over the production, constructed of a dominant melody, a combination of instruments to create depth, placed ontop of a wave like beat, a mixture of highs and lows with strong drums, water drops and a soft shimmer to connect it all. It all fits together and results in another underrated J. Holiday classic.
If you like R&B then give the album a listen, You will not be dissapointed.
The East London duo are appearing stronger than ever as they continue to make their mark within the industry.
16 Year old Tiny is making big strides as he cements his place as one of (if not the) best emcee in his age bracket, to be honest, his raw ability is starting to put his status among some of the bigger names in the industry. With Griminal, the two have created a strong force in Grime, both equally talented, different yet blend well and this track clearly shows that.
I look out for a lot of talent, always eager to hear the ‘next best thing’ and I remember coming across a video of Tiny where he just stood out, only 15 at the time, you can see the progress he has made within a year, now at 16 he is on the verge of becoming an established artist, it is amazing to see the levels of improvement, the raw ability which he possesses at such a young age and still improving, the stratford star has a bright future as he continues to put East London back on the map as Grime central.
Back in secondary school, St. Mary’s in Croydon, London, there was a fellow student in my year, he was the tallest in our year, tallest in the school to be honest, but he was one of the nicest, one of the humble kids, he never used his height and strength advantage in any negative way, he was not a loud student, except when it came to sports, especially Basketball, he was the one, he had the physical attributes as well as the determination, but coming from our surroundings, nobody expected anyone to make something of themselves, we were all ambitious but you did not think that so and so was going to be famous, or even massively successful, so all our acheivements, be it sport, art, music or drama was all for fun.
Fast forward a good few years, I was sitting at home flicking through channels, it was around 2am and there was an American College Basketball match on, so as a basketball fan I decided to watch, so I see this one team, Duke, they had a player that was just standing out throughout the entire game, they mentioned the name ‘Deng’, I paid no mind, still watching, then I see a close-up and I feel like I recognize the guy, then the commentators mention he is from England, I sit up in my chair, could it be? I watch more, I hear more, turns out..yes, it is my old school mate Luol Deng, I was amazed, proud, a mix of things, someone I went to school with is on TV. So now I began to check regularly how he is doing, his stats and so forth, within a week I’m watching the NBA drafts and there he is, this is amazing, he is drafted by Phoenix Suns but traded to none other than the Chicago Bulls, I’m ecstatic, this is unbeleivable, the guy who used to shoot hoops with me in the school court, the guy who sat opposite me in class as we flicked a foil-made football through finger goals is now going to be playing in the NBA for the Bulls.
He had come a long way already:
Now taking all that in his stride as he carves a successful career for himself in the NBA:
What I am pleased most about is that with all his success, fame and fortune, Luol is still just as humble and it only makes me wish him even more success, I hope the Chicago Bulls’ Number 9 goes on to create his own legacy as he represents the UK in the NBA. He continues to use his advantages for the good, embracing the community, doing what he can to make a difference, it is these qualities which separate him and solidify his status as a true superstar and I am proud to know him.
Expect more great things from the powerful Deng, I certainly do.
UK’s Master Shortie has made quite the step since his first single Rope Chain, as an independant artist, his debut album ADHD has received great responses, his single Dead End is a OneFáris favourite, here is the new single, Bringing It Back:
The single represents Master Shortie and his unique style for its simple feel-good factor, With Master Shortie being a diverse individual it is safe to expect the same from his music, Bringing It Back is no exception. The concept is nice, it is light-hearted and even up-lifting, appealing to a range of audiences, this will no doubt help keep Master Shortie in prominence.
The video is a perfect visual aid for the audio, contrasted well with the retro graphics blended with futuristic detail, although the Back To The Future featured DeLorean would have been more ideal, but it was refreshing to see the famous Knightrider’s Kit vehicle.
Master Shortie is rapidly rising as one of the leading artists within the UK, offering a diverse sound and style capable to transcent smoothly into mainstream recognition, the potential is vast for the young talent so expect more as he continues to make his mark in the music industry.

The UK has a rapidly rising scene, with the new breeds are proving their worth, among them are four talented beings in the form of Voltage, Double S, Brutal and Dot Rotten. They unite on this underground classic.
Voltage is super talented as an emcee, I have seen many of his freestyle sets and he has always been consistent, a focused artist, Voltage backs his undeniable talent with a strong work rate, bringing Double S who surprises many by singing but he pulls it off well, Brutal and Dot Rotten add their own flare to the track providing depth at the same time.
Each artist has gone on to establish themselves as strong forces within the industry, expect to hear more from Voltage as he looks to further establish himself as a permanent fixture in the scene.
Ozzie B and the Great Minds Think Alike (GMTA) collective offer you the perfect track to end your summer on, better yet, the perfect track to look back and remember the good times you have had this summer with their new song ‘Summertime’.
This song has so much feeling to it, you cannot help but to feel good listening to this one, a really good effort from GMTA, the video directed by Creeping East entertainment really captures the essences that the song delivers, staying true to the track, Creeping East’s visuals represent the song nicely. the combination of voices and character gives that friendly enviroment vibe, Lady Shivz soulful tone provides a sultry element, Money Bags comes correct with a laid back but on point verse, the underrated emcee proves why GMTA are such a unique collective, personally I feel that I do not have to say much as the song speaks for itself, definitely a summer smash that will be scorching even in through winter.
“Shout out to GMTA..Zed, Bags, Lip E, Shivz, Drama, Knowledge and the whole camp”
